This piece is dedicated to the hurricane victims.

To avoid any confusion, the girl on the raft does NOT personify the hurricane, itself. She is the spirit of Louisiana and Missisippi, and she's not a BIT happy with Miss Katrina.

Prints and postcards are available here on DA. Other items are available at my CafePress store. ALL of my profits made from this will be sent to the Red Cross. Please be aware, however, that DeviantArt only makes payments to artists 30 days after every quarter. CafePress pays every 45 days. In both cases, it could be a while before your donation by way of purchase could be sent. Therefore, I encourage you to contact me before ordering.

And, of course, if any merry admins at ye olde DeviantArt would consider making donations to the RC an option for use of our DeviantCash so that we don't have to wait for our quarterly payments, I and others here would be ever so grateful.

cute as a button to represent something so sad, but it works. I like the voodoo doll peeking from behind her leg

The cypress trees really capture the mood of Louisiana. Not even a hurricane can interrupt their somber presence. The voodoo doll is a nice touch, too. I've been thinking about voodoo all night, for some reason...
Very cool, very creepy, very awesome ^_^ I'm sure the victims will appreciate the help.
